well to tell the truth for this picture I just used a cheap papermate pen to shade, nothin fancy but it all has to do with tecnique. the reason I use the pen is cause its so thin and doesnt make such bold lines so it gives me more to work with. when I shade I usually start in the corner of an area and use diagonal downward strokes, if you look real close you can see. ( the reason the shading seems to be in all the right places is cause while i was watching bleach i paused it and drew a picture of the guy so I pretty much followed what the pros did ).
If you copy the way professional pictures are shaded you end up getting the hang of it and you can do it in your own art. thats sorta how I got used to it.
Other than that, in the dark lines I used a Ultra Fine point Sharpie to get bolder strokes, the pen was just used for shading light areas. I used some fancy brush stroke pen for the black solid areas but that doesnt really matter that is the only thing i had at the time, you can use just a normal black sharpie for that it makes no difference just as long as you have something thick to make it easier to black out.
and yes if you were wondering I did use a #2 pencil to do faint outlines at first lol, it also helps outlining the shaded areas.
Well sorry For the super crazy long messege, hope you took the time to read all of it, lol, just thought you could use some advice from a fellow artist.
love your draw ;D
